A group of people called BADL- Bat Anti-Defamation League- where in the parking lot of Quincie's restaurant. Miz Morales came over and asked if everything was alright and it was. Zachary asked Quincie if she was free after work. They went for a walk after work to talk about things. Zachary stole back his sword from the APD, which made Quincie nervous because if he can steal it back from wherever it was, than what else can he do?. They came across Quincie's old friend Mitch. Mitch didn't seem very fond of Quincie and Zachary hanging out. Quince and Zachary got into an argument when he brought up her first night as a vampire. After she left him standing there, someone grabbed her hand from the tall hedges, it was the two people from the restaurant who were still looking for Brad. Zachary came to the rescue.
Why did Zachary even bring up her first night as a vampire? Why did he come so quick when she yelled his name if she was very far away? I don't get why Mitch doesn't like Zachary? Why did Quincie just leave Zach standing there after he saved her?

Quincie is learning more and more about the changing that will occur soon, and she is still trying to figure out how to fix it so people don't change into the undead. Roberto put the books back into Kieren's room/Quincie's room. The restaurant has been doing really well with the new staff. Quincie is very pleased with how things are running. The 2 people that are looking for Brad showed up at the restaurant and talked to Quincie then vanished out of sight. The more Quincie is reading, the more information she is finding out about the changing and about how she can stop it from happening.
Can she really figure out the way to stop everyone that ate that squirrel from changing into the undead? Can she really fix it and get Kieren to come back home?

Quincie has been reading more about Dracula and about what she can do to help people before they change into the undead. Miz Morales went out of town for a rehearsal dinner until Sunday, which left Quincie home with Roberto and Megan. She ended up going to the restaurant where she found Clyde eating crickets. Clyde accused her of liking their new Waiter/chef Zachary.
It does seem like she might like Zachary a little bit, but she would never leave Kieren for Zachary. She loves Kieren way to much.
But, why would she be right behind Zachary all night? He really didn't need any help at all. Why doesn't she talk about Kieren with Clyde or anyone else? Does it hurt to much? Is she trying to forget about him right now?

Quincie is reopening her family restaurant for the first time since the bad squirrel incident happened-which will turn everyone who ate it into vampires-. Quincie and Miz Morales were finding an outfit for Quincie to wear to the reopening of Sanguini's restaurant. She is very worried about who she might see during it. They end up hiring a friend of Freddy's and Nora's, named Zachary.
Why does she get so worried every time she goes somewhere? I know she hasn't seen Brad in awhile, so why does she keep getting so freaked out about it, he isn't there anymore. Why doesn't she trust this Zachary guy? He just saved her life, so why doesn't she trust him?

Quincie is still trying to figure out everything for her restaurant: like the menu and finishing the staff choices. She is still trying to figure out how she is going to stop everyone-that ate the infected squirrel- from changing into vampires. Quincie has to watch her back so Brad-the guy who is trying to kill her and everyone else- doesn't come back and finish everyone off.
I don't get how she can do all of this stuff, and not go insane and not just sit there and let everything just play out. If I was her I would just sit there and have no idea what to do about any of this. How can she manage a restaurant, try to keep her being a vampire a secret, and find a cure for everyone else? She has a lot more courage than most people. I don't know how in the world she has time to bring her food to the restaurant and eat it with all of this stuff going on.

This book is about a girl named Quincie Morris who ends up getting turned into a vampire and has a hybrid-werewolf boyfriend named Kieren. Her uncle ends up getting murdered and she now has to run the families restaurant and hire a brand new staff. This is all while she is trying to focus on school and her former chef Brad who is a murderer and is turning everyone in town into vampires.
I don't really get why the book started the way that it did. She seems like she has more problems than just vampires and hybrid-werewolves. I don't get why Kieren had to leave even if he wasn't a murder suspect anymore. From what I have read in this book, I am starting to like it a lot. I'm not sure why she wants to get back into opening the restaurant right away after everything that has happened.
